Franklin Bruno -- Suggestion Box

Franklin is the singer songwriter of the band Nothing Painted Blue (you might check out a new 7" out on Scat). The songs on this tape are stripped-down pop numbers, about half with simple guitar accompaniment, others have a small amount of instrumental backing. Bruno writes strong, hook-laden songs with excellent lyrics that manage to maintain a unique voice throughout this tape. -- Bryan Baker, GAJOOB 9, Winter 1993
