| Doug Chamberlin "Fields in Fall" is a jewel box of nine songs glittering with melody and literate lyric. Chamberlin, a veteran Chicago musician, who founded the critically acclaimed techno-pop band Scarlet Architect in the 80s, also played with Ministry for a brief tour of duty. Following Ministry he composed accompaniement, engineered, recorded and performed with Projekt Records' Arcanta, a goth-ambient arrangement. He released two CDs for the label, "Arcanta; maxi EP" & "Eternal Return." While composing numerous industrial and dramatic film soundtracks, the musician also prolifically wrote numerous tunes for the "Fields in Fall" CD. He found Irish vocalist Suzan McDonald and further tailore the music to suit his vocalist. The result was a home recorded gem of niine cuts. The duo then took their hard-disk recorder into Sparrow Studiosand recorded vocals on a variety of old powered mics by Sennheiser and Shure. Illness delayed any promotion beyond local release following the CD's completion. Now Chamberlin is preparing to promote this and a new CD by his current project, "Schedule II"entitled "Throw Your Stone!". This will be a more aggressive type of music than "Fields in Fall" but still true to the melodic and lyrical alchemy that guides his music. Welcome to enchantment: "Fields in Fall".
