Rob Christensen is a recording-artist / songwriter / singer from Eureka, California. He has written dozens of songs and released four critically acclaimed albums on his own Sweet Science label and has been a member of several Humboldt County bands. Christensen describes his style as a combination of rock, alt., and folk and likes the Beatles, R.E.M., Elliott Smith, Bruce Springsteen, Beth Orton, and Neil Young, among others. He is also a columnist for the Portland-based, nationally distributed, and much loved Tape Op, ìthe creative music recording magazine.î

Recently Christensen has been playing solo-acoustic shows, performing regularly in Humboldt County and touring in Oregon and Washington. His music has been heard on Humboldt radio stations KXGO (a live-in-the-studio performance), KMUD, Internet stations at AUTOreverse.net and mp3.com, and various European radio stations. A Belgian DJ, Ray Pieters, recently called Christensen ìone of my greatest discoveries of the year 2000.î

In June of 2000 Christensen released his third studio album, ìOpera Alley,î a collection getting rave reviews from listeners. To support ìOpera Alleyî Christensen performed a series of shows in Ashland, Portland, Seattle, and his hometown of Eureka, and heís planning to tour again in September.
