STYLE... Freestyle Hometaping

This compilation is a sampling of three years of sporadic creative output. Originally compiled for distribution to members of "Snuggles," a mailing list for fans of Negativland, it has been remastered and repackaged with new artwork and is now available to the public on the artist's own Twenty Eleven Records, distributed by Homemade Music. Beef Humper was the creative love-child of hometaper Daryl Westfall. Existing for over two years on the online music service mp3.com, Beef Humper quietly established a small global following of lo-fi/indie fans without any publicity whatsoever. This CD documents many of the most-popular tracks from mp3.com, as well as material rejected by mp3.com, and previously unreleased tracks. While Daryl is involved in other projects and has put Beef Humper on the back burner indefinitely, this CD serves to give the listener an idea of the sonic noise that exists in his head, waiting for a chance to escape.
