The National Geoffery presents its firstborn scapegoat, reaping all the bad karma sown over years of subtle influences here and there, both good and bad, but all balanced out in the end. Melody and dissonance collide and fuse in the strangest ways here, with or without but when all is said and done you're looking at an angst-borne, rootsish sort of work that is all but obvious. Lyrics cut deep and coerce confrontation with the awful truth that the National Geoffrey resides in all of us, constantly reminding us of the still life we all live.
