SamplesChoose 2 tracks for us to use as audio samples. We'll use the complete track in RealAudio format so visitors can hear your music and want to buy it. Unlike mp3 files, these cannot be saved, just heard. We will use these tracks for promotional streaming on the site like our weekly online radio show.

FormatWe sell your CD's on consignment, or you can provide a master and artwork and we'll make them for you as they are ordered. There is no cost to place your CD's for sale here in either case. We are successful if you are successful.
CD's On Consignment. You are sending us CD's you've made yourself or elsewhere and we are keeping them on hand to sell for you on consignment. Our fee for selling CD's on consignment is just 20% of your selling price ($1 minimum), so if you sell your CD for $10, you'll keep $8. We hold no license to your music and you can pay to have them shipped back to you and stop selling them here when you get famous at any time.
CD's On Demand. We produce your CD's whenever someone orders them. You send us your artwork and audio files and we set up your CD for On Demand ordering. Setup is FREE. We keep $4 for producing your CD on-demand and you keep 100% of the profit. Unlike most other online retailers doing on-demand orders, we produce your CD's completely in-house. We think our CD's are the best quality on-demand CD's you've seen.

PricingSet any price you wish. Remember, our fee is 20% of your selling price ($1 minimum) for stuff you send us to sell on consignment. For CD's we produce for you On Demand, we keep $4 for producing the best on-demand CD available and you keep 100% of the profit after that.

Quantity For Inventory
If you are sending us CD's on consignment, we recommend sending 5 copies to start; send one additional for our own abuse. So if you send us 6 CD's, your inventory will be 5.

Compilation TrackIf you wish to be considered for inclusion on our Homemade Music CD Digest, tell us which song(s) to include. We don't charge anything to be on our comps, but we don't pay you anything either. We don't send out 1000's of 'em, but some people will hear your music who wouldn't have heard it otherwise. You may ALSO want to consider putting together a sampler of your own material for dollarcd.com where we'll produce a cool sleevepak CD people can order on demand for $1.

Simply placing your music for sale at homemademusic.com (or anywhere else for that matter) does not guarantee you'll actually sell anything. Artists that sell CD's must undertake their own promotions when they don't have a label to do it for them, however, homemademusic.com does feature many things for our visitors that might generate interest in your music IF YOU MAKE AN EFFORT TO PARTICIPATE, like our Magazine, our Homemade Music Radio Show, our various sister sites with related activities such as dollarcd.com, and, of course, gajoob.com. But independent artists have to do a lot of self-promotion. GAJOOB's IndieOneStop.com, has lots of information about resources that can help you do just that.
